July 9, 2010

Dear Parents and Students,

It is with God’s blessings that I welcome you to the 2010-2011 school year, as the interim principal for the first semester. May we all pray that Ms. Standerfer is blessed with a complete recovery so that she may return completely healed in January.

My name is Dr. James McDermott and I have been in education in the dioceses of Colorado, Missouri and Arizona. I have held the principal position at the elementary, middle, and high school levels in those dioceses. I have also held the position of school superintendent in a public school district for eight years.

There are many physical changes taking place in the buildings of the parish to enhance serving your needs and to make your visiting the school in line with the Diocese of Phoenix policies to insure the safety of your children. The teaching staff is in place, office are being moved, work rooms for the teachers are being completed with the necessary equipment to assist the teachers in preparing lessons for your children.

Students will report on August 10th for their first day with a noon dismissal schedule. Attached is information about the student uniforms and the lunch program.

I look forward to meeting you on August 5th during Open House/Curriculum Night.
