Art Class
Visual Arts Education
St. Daniel’s Catholic Visual Art Education is based on the belief that God has endowed each of us with talents and gifts which He expects us to develop and use to the best of our ability.
St. Daniel’s art curriculum is adapted from the Diocese of Phoenix Visual Arts Standards that are designed to develop the whole person by promoting the spiritual, moral, physical, creative, and intellectual development of each student.
Lessons are differentiated to include developing competence in basic art curriculum and exploring personal expression in activities revolving around the elements of art and principals of design.
Students are also taught by the Art Masters Program to recognize and appreciate the paintings of famous masters from the Renaissance, Baroque and Modern art periods. These artists have depicted important happenings in the scriptures to enhance the love of Christ.
“Art has a way of stirring the imagination and refreshing the soul.” –Nathan Krier
