Advisory Board

Board Overview

The St. Daniel the Prophet Catholic School Board is an advisory board, not a board of directors. The Board is comprised of elected members who include:

• The Pastor
• School Principal
• Faculty
• Parents of active students
• Parish Administration
• Diocesan School Board Representative
 

Purpose

The Board’s purpose is to assist the Pastor and the Principal in the administration of the school by providing feedback, exchanging ideas, and overseeing the various committees to contribute to the goal and vision of providing a quality faith-based Catholic education to the community it serves.

The 2010-2011 Advisory School Board includes:

Parents of active students of St. Daniel Catholic School can be considered for nomination and appointment to the Advisory School Board. All appointees to the Board must be approved by the Pastor. Each member is appointed for a two year term, with four years the maximum consecutive term allowed. The Board typically meets once a month during the school year from August through May.

Non-Board members may request that certain topics be added to the agenda, subject to approval by the Board. The agenda items should be submitted to a Board member 10-days prior to the monthly scheduled meeting.. If the item is submitted after the deadline, it will be considered for the next scheduled meeting. The meeting schedule for the 2010-2011 school year is as follows:
